The speech therapy service is available for those pupils in the 2 to 5 year groups who may need support in their expression or understanding of language. This service is offered in collaboration with Centro Logolea (www.centrologolea.es), a company specialised in speech therapy for children with a team of professionals highly qualified in the treatment of young children.

Logolea ‘s professionals work within the morning curricular timetable at Alaria, for the convenience of families, addressing various aspects of children’s language, speech, voice and swallowing:

• Language: Language Delay, Specific Language Disorder (SLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Speech: Phonemic articulation difficulties, Dyslalias, Phonological disorder, Stuttering.
• Stimulation of language in children with difficulties in the use of Spanish.
• Voice: Children’s dysphonia due to vocal abuse or misuse.
• Myofunctional therapy: Excessive drooling, oral breathing, orofacial hypotonia, atypical swallowing, among others.

Registration process for the service:

From the last week of September, Logolea professionals will carry out a first preliminary observation free of charge to all pupils from 2 to 5 years old. This observation will identify possible intervention needs. If any family would prefer that their child does not receive this initial assessment, please notify us at info@alariaescuelasinfantiles.es. If a need is identified, we will contact families to discuss next steps and options:

• Begin speech therapy work with Logolea during school hours.
• Opt for other speech therapists outside Alaria.
• Not to start any intervention at that time.

You can choose between one or two sessions per week, and the cost will be billed together with the Alaria monthly fee.
